Candela's Fashion Column - by Candela Farias

If someone asked me what the aesthetic of Gen Z fashion is, I would say it would be Y2K fashion. These were like the clothes your mom or younger sister would wear when they were younger. I believe shows like the Bratz Dolls, and movies like Mean Girls or Clueless also heavily inspired us to this style. All these shows and movies we would watch with our friends after school when we were younger, so we always grew up with that type of style. Characters like Sharpay Evans made us understand that we can use clothes to express our personality and to not be afraid of colors.
